01Why capsules

An hour of attention is a lot to ask a busy clinician.

A 60-minute recording of a speaker and slides asks for an hour of sustained attention. A capsule built as a short, visual episode asks for five minutes, then makes the next one easy to start.

Motion graphics animate the one number that matters. B-roll shows what the speaker describes. Camera movement leads the eye. Captions keep the course usable on mute or in a second language. The course feels paced rather than long, and the science is presented, never altered.

02The engine

Five modules, run in sequence, reviewed by a person.

A producer sets up a video once. The engine applies every layer below, and reviewers handle only the exceptions, in one dashboard. Select a module to see what it does.

Motion graphics

Animated chart reveals; key-number callouts (HR, CI, n); lower-thirds; abbreviation pop-ups; key-takeaway cards; chapter title cards.

The eye lands on the one thing that matters.

B-roll

Licensed or generated clinical imagery; mechanism-of-action and anatomy animations; patient-journey visuals; cut-aways timed to the script.

Abstract content becomes concrete and memorable.

Camera movement

Digital punch-ins; slow zooms and pans to what the speaker refers to; auto-reframing for desktop and mobile; cut-aways that break static shots.

Movement and focus replace the static talking head.

Who runs it

Less senior producers operate the pipeline day to day.

Who oversees it

Senior editors and the scientific liaison review only flagged items and medical-content checks.

GuardrailCommittee-approved science is never altered

Edits are cuts, framing and visuals only. Every capsule is traceable to its source timestamps.

03What we measure

A better learner experience, measured against your own baseline.

The baseline is set in the first sprint. Targets follow from it, not from assumptions.

Outcome

Completion rate

Share of learners who finish the course and the evaluation.

Short capsules with a clear finish line and visual pacing reduce mid-course drop-off.

Outcome

Time on course

Active viewing time per learner and per session.

Engaging visuals and clear next steps keep learners watching further into the course.

Outcome

Repeat connections

Returning learners and sessions per learner per month.

A better first course is the reason to come back for the next one.

04The plan

Ninety days, in three phases of thirty.

Same headcount. A target of 2 to 3 times today's capacity, confirmed against the baseline. Higher standards on every capsule.

Days 1 to 30

Shadow sprint: spec and prototype

  • Research and shadowing of today's workflow
  • Baseline measured
  • Engine specified and prototyped on one approved video
Days 31 to 60

Test: soft launch

  • Build and test sprint
  • Soft launch on real courses
  • Review flow with editors and the scientific liaison
Days 61 to 90

Deploy and support

  • Deployment
  • Support
  • Training of the internal tech team

Redesign
Before and after · one of Xpeer's posts

Switch the redesign on and off.

The speaker and the message stay. The redesign adds animated data cards, highlighted captions and a co-branded frame, the same layers the engine applies to every capsule.

Motion templates · xpeer webinars

Five broadcast templates, built in code.

  • Opening, speaker with on-screen text, speaker with slide, full-screen slide, data slide
  • Every word on screen is verbatim from the speaker's own slides
  • Co-branding and live captions as persistent layers
